Faulty Air Conditioner Causes Mold Problem in Home

   Unbeknownst to the home owner, a faulty air conditioner was causing a mold problem as it continuously leaked water when running.  The drywall and blown-in insulation were soaking wet and as a result the attic and hallway walls had to be opened up and renovated.   Often times when discovered mold growth is discovered there is usually a bigger issue. By following a few of these easy rules will help make sure that you don’t end up with a larger problem.  Inspect your HVACs often, get your AC units serviced, test your indoor quality and moisture levels with a hydrometer, look for condensation on windows and vents, and purchase a dehumidifier for your basement.
